PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 29, 2011 – While it is not exactly “stealing from the rich to give to the poor,” one Utah accounting firm is actively driving local economic relief by helping Utah entrepreneurs recover the taxes they overpaid and the refunds they left behind on their previously filed tax returns. MainStreet Tax & Accounting Services, now in their 51st year, recently launched the “Refund Recovery Project,” a free tax return review program with a mission to fund local economic growth by putting money back into the pockets of local entrepreneurs. Since the launch of the program in May, MainStreet has recovered a total of $158,817.00 for Utah taxpayers, most of whom are self-employed.
David Larsen, Managing Partner of MainStreet, says, “Entrepreneurs will pull us from this recession, but they need capital. We’re simply helping them reclaim the money that is rightfully theirs to make it happen.”
A running total of money put back into the community through the Refund Recovery Project, as well as stories from the local entrepreneur participants, can be found at www.NoRefundLeftBehind.com.
