PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 25, 2011 – Reno, TX , July 25, 2011: Most people that like to make their water bill payments in person, until a few months back had to try to make it to the city office between the hours of 8am and 4pm, only on working week days.However since April that has changed. The city was smart enough to install a bill payment kiosk that accepts cash, checks and credit card payments. It will also give back change and accept donations for their fire department.
The decision by the Mayor Buddy Heuberger, was a brave one. Cara Hubbard, the city secretary supported the Mayor and it not only helped the city reduce the cost of accepting in-person payments, but it relieved the staff to provide a better service to its residents and not have to deal with the rush hour, lunch time and long lines of people after or before long weekends and twice a month before the cutoff dates.
The kiosk currently receives about 400 payments a month, which is quite impressive, for a city this size.
"I love the convenience of coming to pay my bills at 10pm in my pajamas" said a Reno resident.
The kiosk was provided turnkey by AdComp Systems / TELeasy a Dallas, TX based company. Payments are posted in real time to the city's USTI billing application. The kiosks are remotely monitored and provide real time reports and alerts.
