Flying Colours at Cornish Accountancy Firm

Vicky and DavidPRLog (Press Release) - Aug 11, 2011 - Vicky Reynolds and David Horwell have now successfully passed 12 exams, on their career path to becoming Chartered Accountants.

The pair are well on their way to completing the Advanced stage.  They have just three more exams to pass and will need to complete 450 days of technical work experience, undertake training in ethics and finish an initial professional development scheme.

Paul Reed, Senior Partner of Robinson Reed Layton, is delighted with Vicky and David’s success:

“Vicky and David have worked extremely hard to reach this level.  They have both demonstrated considerable commitment to their careers and all of us at Robinson Reed Layton are pleased to support their progress.  We wish them the best of luck with passing their Advanced stage next summer.”

David from St Austell and Vicky from Threemilestone began their training in September 2009.  They are set to be fully qualified Chartered Accountants by next autumn.

David speaks for them both when he says, “The exams have been hard work, and we're both extremely happy to have passed all our exams at the first attempt.”

The ACA qualification is awarded by the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and has two stages, the Professional stage that consists of 'knowledge' and 'application' modules and the Advanced stage.

ACCA Pakistan receives Best Accountancy Brand Award third time in a row

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 02, 2011 - The award ceremony was organised by the Intellectual Property Association and the Brands Foundation.

Mr Shamez Mukhi, Head of Marketing, Communications and Media Relations received the Award on behalf of ACCA Pakistan from the chief guest, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in presence of Chairman IPO, Mr Hamidullah Jan Afridi, Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ibad and Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah. While receiving the award Mr Mukhi commented that, “It is an honour for ACCA Pakistan to be acknowledged as a winning brand at the national level for the third time consecutively. While brand visibility is important, it is more significant to live the brand values. ACCA’s image really comes from the ACCA community who are ambassadors of our 5 values; opportunity, accountability, integrity, diversity and innovation”.

On this occasion, head of ACCA Pakistan, Mr Arif Masud Mirza said “this is a competitive process and relies upon the views of the public and other third party factors” congratulating the Brands Foundation for this initiative, he said “this is an ideal public-private partnership that encourages healthy competition among leading organisations and also increases their awareness about consumer preferences. It is a great platform to support and propel business enterprise in Pakistan.”
